Overview

The Trainer (Mandarin) is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for employees, particularly those handling Mandarin-speaking customers or content. Based in Johor, this role ensures that staff are well-equipped with product knowledge, operational procedures, and communication skills to deliver high-quality service. The Trainer plays a key role in enhancing employee performance, onboarding new hires, and supporting continuous learning initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Education, Communications, Linguistics, Business, or related field.

  • Experience:

    • 2–4 years of experience as a trainer, preferably in BPO/contact center or service environment.

    • Experience delivering training in Mandarin for customer service or operational teams.

  • Language Proficiency:

    • Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).

    • Cantonese is an advantage.

  • Skills:

    • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to engage, motivate, and coach participants effectively.

    • Good analytical and organizational skills.

    • Proficiency in training tools, Microsoft Office, and online learning platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Training Delivery

    • Conduct training sessions for new hires and existing employees in Mandarin.

    • Deliver workshops, classroom sessions, and on-the-job coaching.

    • Ensure training materials are understood and applied effectively.

  • Curriculum & Material Development

    • Develop and update training materials, manuals, and guides in Mandarin.

    • Customize content based on team needs, business updates, and client requirements.

  • Assessment & Evaluation

    • Conduct assessments to evaluate trainee understanding and performance.

    • Monitor progress and provide feedback for improvement.

    • Identify training gaps and propose solutions.

  • Collaboration & Support

    • Work closely with team leaders, QA, and operations to align training with business needs.

    • Support continuous improvement initiatives through training insights and recommendations.

  • Reporting & Documentation

    • Maintain records of training attendance, performance, and evaluation results.

    • Prepare reports on training effectiveness and outcomes.
