Job Title - Senior Risk Lead

Salary - 75K

Location - Bristol (hybrid) 

 

Job Role 

 

We are a global company with a strong footprint within the United Kingdom Business Processing outsourcing market (BPO). Due to our business expanding there is a need to appoint a Risk Manager to support our business leaders across government and retail accounts.

 

Reporting to the UK, Africa & Ireland Head of Privacy, Risk & Compliance. The Risk Manager will provide effective 2nd Line of Defence (2LoD) oversight throughout all Lines of Business across multiple sites within our operation both onshore and offshore. The Risk Manager will support with compliance of our Enterprise Risk Management framework and provide ongoing continued support to ensure all risks and issues are captured, monitored and effective Risk mitigation treatment plans and controls are in place.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The Risk Manager will Identify, assess, track, and report on all risks and issues.
  • Help business leaders develop and implement key process controls and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support, educate, and guide the business on all elements of risk spanning all business functions.
  • Produce MI and reporting packs.
  • Ensure all risks and issues are captured in the corporate risk register.
  • Assist with incident management.
  • Undertake key controls testing and audits.
  • Provide support to the Security and Privacy teams.
  • Attend client review meetings.
  • Participate in external and internal audits.
  • Promote a culture of proactive risk awareness.

 

Skills:

  • Be able to evidence a risk-based approach/mindset.
  • Minimum of 5 years risk experience.
  • Excellent English written and oral skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships whilst ensuring the integrity of the 2 LoD is not compromised.
  • Audit/Compliance Monitoring or Assurance experience.
  • Ability to create test/audit plans.
  • Analytical skills
  • Adaptable to fast paced changing environments.
  • Leadership and remote management experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments (e.g., GDPR, SOX)

 

Desirable but not essential skills:

  • IRM qualification.
  • Financial Crime experience.
  • Business Continuity experience.
  • Incident Management experience.
  • Government and public sector experience
  • Business process outsourcing (BPO) experience
