Qualifications

  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

    • 8–10 years of HR experience, with at least 3–5 years specializing in visa, work permit, or global mobility management.

    • Strong knowledge of Malaysian immigration laws and foreign workforce regulations (ESD, MDEC, TalentCorp, etc.).

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

    • Experience in managing expatriate employees and dealing with government agencies.

    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.

    • HR certifications (e.g., MIHRM, SHRM, CIPD) are an advantage.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage visa, work permit, and employment pass applications, renewals, and cancellations for local and foreign employees.

    • Ensure full compliance with Malaysian immigration laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.

    • Liaise with government authorities (e.g., Immigration Department, MDEC, ESD, and MYXpats) on work pass matters.

    • Develop and implement immigration policies and best practices to ensure smooth onboarding of expatriate employees.

    • Oversee end-to-end employee mobility processes, including relocation, repatriation, and assignment management.

    • Advise management and employees on visa regulations, timelines, and potential risks.

    • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Business Units to forecast visa needs and workforce planning.

    • Maintain accurate visa tracking databases and prepare reports for audits and compliance reviews.

    • Manage relationships with external visa agents, relocation partners, and government stakeholders.

    • Provide training and guidance to HR team members on visa and mobility policies.
