Overview

Join TP's Digital Services & Transformation team as an AI & Automation Intern. You'll build real automations that go live and save real hours - not shadow projects. Your main toolkit is the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Dataverse), paired with AI assistants like Claude and Copilot to accelerate how you design, build, and document solutions.

We care far more about how you think than what you've already memorized. If you can break a messy manual process into clear logical steps, you'll do well here.

What you'll get

  • Real ownership of live automations used by internal teams
  • Direct mentorship from the Automation and Innovation team
  • Hands-on exposure to enterprise AI tooling and how it's actually deployed at scale
  • A multicultural, multilingual working environment
  • Internship allowance provided

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong logical and analytical thinking - you can take a vague problem and structure it into steps and conditions
  • Hands-on familiarity with at least one of: Power Automate, Power Apps, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or similar
  • Practical experience using AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to solve problems, not just to write essays
  • Comfortable with Excel beyond the basics (formulas, lookups, pivot tables)
  • Good written and spoken English - you'll be writing documentation and talking to process owners
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable asking questions when a requirement is unclear
  • Able to commit to the full 6 months on-site

Nice to have (not required)

    • Any scripting experience: Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or Office Scripts
    • Basic SQL or Dataverse/SharePoint data modelling
    • Exposure to Power BI, Microsoft Forms, or Graph API
    • Any Microsoft certification (PL-900, PL-100, PL-500, AI-900) or an RPA vendor certification
    • A GitHub, portfolio, or even a short write-up of something you automated for yourself

Hiring process

  1. Short screening form
  2. Practical assessment - a small logic and process-automation exercise (no prior Power Platform experience needed to attempt it)
  3. Interview with the hiring team

Responsibilities

  • Map and document existing manual processes with the process owners, then identify what's worth automating
  • Build, test, and deploy automations using Power Automate (cloud and desktop flows), Power Apps, and SharePoint lists
  • Use AI tools (Claude, Copilot) to draft logic, generate expressions, troubleshoot errors, and produce documentation
  • Handle error scenarios properly - retries, exception paths, notifications, not just the happy path
  • Write clear work instructions and short training material so the business can run what you build
  • Track the impact of each automation (hours saved, error rate, turnaround time) and report it
  • Support the wider Innovation and Automation backlog: research, testing new tools, and small internal projects
